Thu, 23 Dec 1999 19:55:52

Happy Holidays to all of your staff. I have only used about 6-7 of your suggestions this year but I have had the good fortune to pick well. I want to thank you all for your work to make sure we all had lots of choices. I hope you do as well rest year at least you made sure I didn't the bonanza this year. Thanks again Gil

Thu, 23 Dec 1999 08:22:43

HI,

Not sure who actually gets this email at your organization - please distribute accordingly though.

I just wanted to wish all of you a very Merrry Christmas and a Happy New Year - as well as a prosperous 2000!

I joined sometime in early 1999 and actually really didn't start taking the advise on stocks that you were providing till around mid-year. I thought that I knew which stocks would do good, but actually didn't have much luck with my stocks. I started actively trading options on various stock tips that your organization
provided in June. Since June, I have been successful in almost tripling my portfolio! I can attribute about
70% of this to your organization great work -- the other 30% I have to attribute to actively playing options with BRCM - when the heck will they split???, CSCO, and a no-name internet start-up xxxx -- you should look at this one since they filed their 10K to be listed on the NASDAQ in early 2000. Thanks again for a great year and you can count on my continued support of your service!!!!

Great JOB!!!!

Jeff

Thank you, STOCKWINNERS! Christmas came a week early. Glad I held this one over earnings!

Mon, 13 Dec 1999 22:02:55

Dear Sir, I wonder if anyone ever thanks you for your stock advice? I want to thank you for your insight and your timely information. I recently purchsed CNRS at 8 and then somemore at 8 7/8 for my Wife. She love me for this and thinks I'm a genuis. I told her the truth and said it was you! I've made money on several of your other suggestions. I will definitely keep my subscription in force for a long time to come. Keep up the good work. You'e doing a great job. Don't change the people you have researching stocks. They are a real asset to your company. Thanks again and have a very Merry Christmas. Mr xxxxxx xxxxx, Clearwater, Fl

Wed, 08 Dec 1999 23:10:53 -0500

You guys could put the "check intra-day price" thing in the rumor- mill section, the stock moved from recommended area of $40 to $50 on dec'-8!!!!!!! just made 3k, thank you very much and keep the hard work.

Tue, 16 Nov 1999 20:02:40

Just to say that your recommendations have been extremely profitable. From the beginning, your service didn't cost me anything. I paid the annual subscription by the money I made during my 2 week free trial subscription. And I can't believe that I made tens of thousands since then. Keep up the good work!
Chuck

Gentelmen:

I want to congratulate you and thank you for the great work you have been doing. It has been a wonderful experience being a client of yours, and I hope , you will keep up the good work. Although, I have been in the market for quite some time, never had this kind of direct assistance from any one and I have benefitted more than a hundred times the subscription fee I have paid. Thanks again..

Thank you for honoring veterans ( a most deserved bunch ) by reminding your members of Veteran's day!!!

Sheryl

Wed, 10 Nov 1999 11:57:11

Sir: In response to your recent email concerning stocks of the week. From my standpoint, your emails are timely and most financially rewarding. But then I don't usually do a lot of intra=day trading and I always scrutinize your recommendations as well as others very carefully. I have often made money from your recommendations . Please keep up the good work. Jim

Wed, 10 Nov 1999 11:51:53

THANK YOU for your recomendations.... I can notice that for me with two years trading and lots of observing the market.... since subscribing to your newsletter my trading is more confidente..... glad on LWIN and ASPT...
observing before your subscription....

Wed, 10 Nov 1999 11:41:01

I've been trading for 3 years now - earning a living at it and have no problem with your picks. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't. At other times I may not like the timing. But it's REALLY nice when we both agree.

Think a lot of the complaints are from people who blindly follow and want their hand held - rather then do some due diligence.

Keep up the good work.

Wed, 10 Nov 1999 10:33:44

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I REALLY LUCKED OUT WITH YOUR HELP!! I BOUGHT 10 NOV 25 CONTRACTS ON MRVC FOR 2 11/16 AND SOLD THEM 23 MINUTES LATER FOR 4 7/8

Wed, 10 Nov 1999 08:21:47

I just have to tell you, you're the best in the business for trading news. I'm consistently doing better using you for my research than any of the other subscriptions I've had in the past. Thanks ! Sue

Thu, 28 Oct 1999 23:56:06

Great call on AOL. Thank you, I bought some Dec 125 calls based on your recommendation. I think, I will make some serious money. Thank you.

Thu, 28 Oct 1999 17:56:06

What has been happening at stockwinners lately? It appears that LVLT is following the tracks of the recent picks .i.e., CKFR, TYC and HIFN etc. LVLT has already dropped 3 points since your E mail, in a rising market.
Please reply.

Thu, 28 Oct 1999 20:21:45

Well, I took advantage of your rumor on AOL's stock split on Tuesday and now I am reaping the rewards. Thanks for the good call. It has paid for a few years worth of your monthly fee.

Don

Thu, 28 Oct 1999 19:05:51

You guys are greattttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good call. Thank you very much. :)

Thu, 28 Oct 1999 18:16:02

Thanks for the excellent service!

Tue, 26 Oct 1999 12:41:33

To the Stockwinners team:

I bought your stock of the week (Hifn 10/18) at 35 3/4. Sold it today at 43 1/2!!! Can't thank you enough.

Truly yours, Mike

Tue, 26 Oct 1999 10:26:05

Guys,

First off, THANK YOU. My portfolio has increased by 55% in the last 4 weeks and I feel it is mostly from the advice and news in your emails. Great job! I think it would be of great benefit to myself & others to have reminders and warnings as to when Greenspan will be speaking or making announcements. Seeing how this guy can send the market into a major down spin with 1 or 2 comments, it would seem wise to update members when he is going to speak.

Thanks again,
Pete

Thu, 21 Oct 1999 13:10:26

I am a swing trader and I use several services, including services that require thousands of dollars of premium, yet your service is comparable to the best, if not better. I look forward to your continued great research.

Thu, 21 Oct 1999 09:50:21

Nice job, guys!! I climbed on TUTS at 30 and off at 33 1/2 for a very nice profit.

Thanks, Grey

Mon, 11 Oct 1999 17:10:34

I've got to thank you for a great rumor lead (TDS). Any ideas how long to ride? Keep up the great work. Dave

Wed, 6 Oct 1999 08:25:12

Nice call on "MCOM" yesterday at 26 5/8!!!!!!!!!!! I see it in 'pre market' at 32+.

Thanks

Tue, 5 Oct 1999 11:56:00

To whom it may concern,

You guys are awesome! I use quite a few different tools during the day to help me with the feel and emotion of the market and to get a feel for what other authorities on the market are thinking, but your service is the only one I actually look forward to getting everyday. Essential data delivered and worded in the most efficient manner, that is why I recommend you to my other friends who trade!

Sincerely,

A very satisfied customer!

Sun, 3 Oct 1999 00:47:15

You guys were right on with EAII. Brilliant! Bravo! Well done! Keep it coming! Dr. P

Wed, 29 Sep 1999 12:08:00

Thanks so much! I only wish I acted on Amazon.com last Friday. I will be logging on more often now!

Wed, 29 Sep 1999 14:56:33

Bought Amazon this morning at 68 (now up 17).

Would have missed it without Stockwinners.

Love Ya!

Wed, 29 Sep 1999 11:05:04

Guys-

Were you aware of rumor about the AMZN announcement today. I did not see any in the market alerts and wondered if it had anything to do with your
stock of the week pick. Quite a timely coincidence. thanks,

Fri, 24 Sep 1999 14:20:09

You are the most informative, intelligent, and responsive source I've ever experienced in my 5 years of trading/investing. I've found your commentary on top page of todays pick screen more accurate and helpful than bloomberg. In any case, I Hope you'll be around for a while. Good going guys.

Thu, 23 Sep 1999 21:16:12

I think everyone should write Bill Gates complaining about Steve's public comments today that tech stocks are over priced inclduing Microsoft. Do you think Bill Gates care about what effect he had on market today. I hope they FIRE Steve! Maybe Steve was drunk when he made those comments!

> COMMENTARY

> Everything was going along just fine today until Steve Ballmer, the President of Microsoft decided to announce that his stock and those of most of the other hi-techs stocks are highly overvalued. (He used the word "absurd.") And then whammo. The markets dropped like a stone, with the Nasdaq dropping more points than only three other times in history. The 108 points is the equivalent of over 400 Dow points. If he had only kept his big mouth shut, we'd be relishing in the fact that the bond market rallied strongly today with the yield dropping to 6.05% and the fact that the hi-techs were on another tear upwards. But NO. We have to report that a bunch of our stocks got hammered, and furthermore, if things get carried away overnight, tomorrow morning might be the sell-off that the bears have been waiting for. Even a Dow theorist announced that we are now in a bear market. He said, that when it crossed 10,450, it entered this new phase. Makes us sick. Susan

Fri, 17 Sep 1999 08:38:15

hey- Thanks for encouraging me to hang in with ADBE, after it dropped 10 points. I'm glad I did! (how did you know.) Sue

Fri, 17 Sep 1999 00:55:59

I bought 500 shares of ADBE @ 96.0 on Tuesday right at the close! So, I will probably make about $5,000 maybe more! I'd share the money with you, but you'll have to get in line behind all the girls that I am going to spend it on! Anyway, thanks for the tip, whoever you are! I get all your tips, but I only buy about 10% of the tips. I think I have never actually lost money on any of your tips. My problem is not knowing when to sell. My biggest "loss" was: I bought PLMD at 10 and sold at 16, but it went to 29! Others, however, such as UFS, RTHM, EFII, CHIR, (and others) I bought, I sold, then they fell. So, what can I say, I am a happy customer! I have one suggestion: It would be nice to know more specifically what the "good news" might be. Usually it says, "We have heard rumors of good news that more good news is comming...", but I wish it was more specific. Anyway, good work!

Tue, 14 Sep 1999 14:59:03

Not only do you guys make me money...you're efficient too! Keep up the good work.

Adam

Mon, 13 Sep 1999 08:35:14

I bought vtss when you first showed it at $62. Is this the time you talk about when it gets its pop. I can't find more info on your site. This makes up for aol man I died 3 times with that stock.

Thanks Dave

Fri, 3 Sep 1999 09:00:56

I just wanted to pass along some comments regarding your services and hope that you will pass them along accordingly. I have been a subscriber since March '99 and have been able to identify some great money making stocks, some of which are still part of my core portfolio. Some of the greatest ones that you have mentioned since March include Broadcom (made $16,000), Nokia (made $12,000 so far and still have it as a core holding), Uniphase (now JDS Uniphase. Made $18,000 so far and still have it as a core holding). I would have made a lot more money but I was very skeptical that you could uncover these great opportunities. I'm a believer, and a lifetime member.

Thu, 19 Aug 1999 11:39:57

Thanks for the UFS pick. It made me a lot of money right when I needed it the most! Keep up the good work.

Tue, 10 Aug 1999 14:57:18

I haven't spent enough time with you since subscribing to be able to navigate intelligently. Do you have a message board? E-Trade clients are once again unable to access their portfolios, accounts, trading, etc. I was promised a phone call back within 30 minutes when this occurred back in June (I'm still waiting for the call), to explain why I, and no one else, was having this problem. As we all learned, some from various message boards, etc., EVERYONE who was a client of e-trade had the problem, which they continued to deny until market closing. I was promised today (at least their technical support personnel acknowledged that there is a problem) that it would be corrected "In About Half an Hour." Is this the same half hour I was promised in June??? Does the fact that I spend half my life just trying to access an order entry form with e-trade explain the lack of time available to continue exploring your wonderful site? If there is a message board, would you please notify your subscribers...? Thank you

Thu, 5 Aug 1999 13:45:52

You are most kind. More evidence to confirm why I am a member.

I had read your report last eve for today; however, didn't have time to get to mkt. alert due to being heavy options trader.

However, had just exited and re-entered positions and was in process of viewing graphs...Thank goodness I went into AMZN (Sept and Oct) earlier this AM. Thank you again.

Thu, 22 Jul 1999 09:16:24

I'm holding LGTO right now, based upon the rumored earnings bump and split - GREAT CALL! I'm uncertain as to what "customary wisdom" is when a stock splits. Do you hold the stock until the split takes place (in this case Aug 15th) or do sell prior to the split based upon a preset target? Is the potential bump from the split worth holding the stock for another 3 weeks? What are you doing with your LGTO holdings?

P.S. - I just recently subscribed to your subscription service and have already been rewarded handsomely from your picks and rumors! Keep up the great work!

Wed, 21 Jul 1999 18:55:40

You're doing super! I have a question. I elected to use options and bought calls on LGTO. How does the split effect my call options? I assume that I will have twice as many call options after the split. Am I correct? Thank you! Barbara

Mon, 19 Jul 1999 10:05:05

I enjoy your services but will discontinue after this period because E*Trade broke me. I requested they sell 50 shares of a stock and they sold 500. They said I owe them 450 shares. I asked how they could sell something I didn't have and they said "read the small print." I told them to sell 100 shares of IBM stock and they said I didn't have any so they couldn't sell it. I asked how they could sell 450 shares of something I didn't have, and they said, "Read the small print."

Oh well, you guys do a good job. Keep up the good work. When I recover, I'll be back.

Fri, 16 Jul 1999 13:49:39

Very informative post today regarding Rite Aid. I appreciate the more detailed posts, it gives me more information when moving forward with due diligence....I know where to start. The more info the better!

Fri, 16 Jul 1999 12:18:33

Thankyou. I have been delighted with the service . In the 3 months since I started subscribing to your service I have made about $45,000 gain on about $30,000 investment...and I have steered clear of Internet stocks as I find them just too scary for my blood!

Wed, 14 Jul 1999 13:33:59

Have not been able to log into any one of my ten accounts at Schwab most of today - sporadic access, then log ins fail. Worse of all, tech support and customer reps are all being dishonest spent almost an hour with a techie who insisted we test everything on my computer - despite my objections - his excuse? the 'net is slow today'. They won't fess up - I really dislike that and am thinking of moving to Fidelity - ????? As of five minutes ago, still couldn't log on - phone service is the pits - even with the 'team Schwab' special service number which I qualify for - and with option expiration day loooming, I'm a very unhappy camper.

Tue, 13 Jul 1999 16:45:34

Hi
I love receiving your reports. Can you tell me why the time on your e-mails is always so late. Are you very far away? Thanks

Sherri

Wed, 30 Jun 1999 18:18:10

Hi,

I believe my quarterly subscription is coming up for renewal on July 2, 1999. Rather than renew quarterly, I would like to renew for a year at $220. Please confirm receipt of this E-mail and advise me if there is anything else I need to do in the way of instruction or form to complete.

Obviously, I have found your service useful during the past quarter. I tend to invest based on fundamentals and I find your technical analysis a helpful "second opinion"!

Thank you,

Tue, 29 Jun 1999 17:30:15 EDT

Call me crazy but I still enjoy your commentary every day. You cost me a bundle on CMGI and AOL! However, you are generally on the money with your forecasts. Now you owe me one or two picks! I need a double or triple by the end of the year.(Income) Who is/are your top pick(s)? Thank you. MB

Sun, 27 Jun 1999 23:16:47

Hello

I really appreciate your site. You guys have consistently given me money making information.

Hello !

I almost forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed your use of the word "benthic" in a recent posting. Just wonderful !! :)

I have not received my Stockwinners e-mail. I love it and depend on it every morning early. Please send asap. Thanks

Mon, 31 May 1999 21:23:48

I was watching satelite tv tonite. A panel of "stock experts" were on the stage taking questions from people standing at two microphones. One lady asked if they knew anything about Stockwinners.com. One of the so called "experts" said that he didn't know anything about them, but with a name like that it could probably be a "scam" operation. Wow, with such a "scam" you guys maybe operating I sure have made alot of money! Keep up the "scam"! I like the money!

Will

31 May 1999 15:51:00

Sirs,

Bad news.....CNBC had a roundtable discussion from the L A Convention center all this weekend and it was great. The bad news is a woman from the audience asked an anaylist from the L A Times if he had heard of your company called STOCKWINNERS and what did he think of it. His response was so typical of a media " *itch "...no he hadn't heard of it....and this is where the MEDIA is letting us all down....he was willing to give an opinion....ON SOMETHING HE HADN'T HEARD OF.....with a name like STOCKWINNERS he would be very careful that it wasn't a scam.....can u believe that....like the L A Times is not a government mouth piece that can be trusted on anything it prints......I am so mad I could just spit.....may I say that as an experienced investor I appreciate the insite that you have given me and I use your advice only as a focus tool as we all should any stock advice....we should all make our own decisions based on our own research and risk tolerance...but you provide a very valuable kind of ....

" Look at this " type of tool.......what a @*#@ piece of #*!@ he was......keep up the good work and thank-you again from a very satisfied and wealthier client..
John

Mon, 24 May 1999 22:27:19

Normally I'm not one for subscribing to paying web sites, but a 'news alert' posted on stock I'm investing in brought your site to my attention. The article mentioned several stocks that stockwinners.com successfully picked over the past months. So I signed up for the two week trial.

After checking out your site I was particularly intrigued with the 'rumors' section, many of which came true. I also looked at the ones that didn't, and was consoled to find out that at least the stock's price didn't tank!

So I played one of your rumors today (JDEC), and it made me a grand!!!! You guys rock for putting me onto this stock- as long as its solid I'll buy the dips! The funny part is, I'm a computer consultant and just two weeks ago I was trained in J.D. Edwards software! Coincidence?

Mon, 24 May 99 18:04:44

when are you going to update the letters you receive? the latest is april 21,..........surely you have received some recent letters......it looks like you are hiding something.........

Just wanted to say you folks are great!

Thu, 20 May 1999 11:18:07

You guys suck. Cancel my membership ASAP.

Wed, 12 May 1999 11:27:25

We appreciate the market alerts we are receiving now on a regular basis. It makes me even happier to be a member of the Stockwinners team. If and when Stockwinners goes does it's own IPO, it would be unprecedented, and quite clever from a marketing point of view, to give your paid subscribers an opportunity to buy in. What are your thoughts?

Darrin

Mon, 10 May 1999 16:32:59

For 5/10 you guys picked RXSD, FCCN, ATHM and AMGN. 3 are down You picked LU for short. It's up.

Guys, please pay a little more attention.... You guys are hurtin me ...

Fri, 7 May 1999 17:09:55

So I am new to this Stock stuff. I sign up for your free trial service and take your advice on ANTC. I buy 20 shares at 27 and place a Stop Order at 25. The same day the purchase is made at 27 the stock drops to 25 (or less), the Stop Order kicks in and wham, I lose $2 per share plus commissions. Now the stock is at 29 3/4 and I lose again. With the way the market move up and down so quickly, I should have know better. I won't be using you stop loss numbers any more.

Danny.

Wed, 05 May 1999 13:28:41

THANK YOU for the alert on NITE!! Hope to see some comment about it in your column tonight as to possible further upside. Incidentally I have been
extremely happy with your service to date. I will be preparing some comments to that effect for your "letters" section.

Nick

Mon, 3 May 1999 17:16:23

Stockwinners,

I am a believer in (and subscriber to) Stockwinners.com, but I have the urge to panic. I've done well with your picks, but I overextended with May options on CMGI, DELL, BVSN, NDB, and AOL. All are running negative, quite obviously, and I have the urge to panic. Last time the internet/technology sector took a beating, you wisely advised "not to panic."

So I beg of you, tell me to relax and sit tight.

Sincerely,

Nervous Bull

Sun, 2 May 1999 22:55:09

Can you please tell me who/how you designed your company logo?

Fri, 30 Apr 1999 11:31:24

I am very interested in your opinion on the following: It is well know about the # of traders who buy stocks before the close, with the idea of selling them on a "Pop" the following morning. With so many people trying to do that, doesn't it have to null the effect?

Thu, 29 Apr 1999 19:54:37

Hi,

I am now managing over 1 mil in stocks for our family and have had good success with your picks, egrp, fdx, mspg, aol, dell. (WCOM hurt a little yesterday at 98). I wish you had a premium service, and I would pay for it. I want to call you ask you what to buy, or have you email me EARLY and offer suggestions, or call. My alerts seem to get to ME after the fact too many times. Is there any other options you would offer your customers for a more upscale advisory service?

Thu, 29 Apr 1999 20:22:14

Your rumor from 12/24/98 may have some validity! Cd Now is scheduled to release some very good news within the next week (possibly tomorrow)

Wed, 28 Apr 1999 22:18:58

Please cancel my membership immediately. I can pick losers on my own. I do not need you to tell me that.

Mon, 26 Apr 1999 20:18:58

I just want to say: Great Call on MSPG, AOL, EGRP, CMGI, SWS, etc. Good job guys :)

Regard,
Susanto

Mon, 26 Apr 1999 16:48:37

I just wanted to send a word of thanks to all you folks at Stockwinners.com as you've definitely changed my life!
Deepak

Sat, 24 Apr 1999 00:18:33

Thank you for TMPW. I bought at 64.5 and it made a nice move.

Fri, 23 Apr 1999 08:57:28

I got a notice my 2 week trial has expired. I have already joined and you have paid for yourself for the year and then some! Even with my jumping in late by researching some stocks before buying, and jumping out too early (i.e. E-Group before the announcement) because I am too conservative.. you have provide a way to level the playing field for us investors out in the "sticks". Thanks!

Thu, 22 Apr 1999 09:06:31

To whom it may concern:
You brought Rare Medium (RRRR) to my attention a few months ago, and I purchased the stock at $4.75. It is now over $12, up over 150%! You should take credit for it. Thanks.

Thu, 22 Apr 1999 10:16:02

You all provide the best service!

Do you offer "lifetime" membership? I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount upfront to be a member of your services for life!

Sincerely,

Wed, 21 Apr 1999 19:07:25

WOW!!!! Thank you for the NSOL recommendation!!!!!! I bought @ 63 today. Your website is priceless!!!!!!!!! Thanks again, and keep the recommendations coming.

The person who wrote " NOT PAYING TAXES ON STOCKS" this is incorrect. I hope that people who read that e-mail, don't try it.

If you sell enough shares of a stock to get back your original investment, the balance of the shares you still own don't have a zero cost factor (for tax purposes). When you sell the balance of the shares, your cost for those shares is the same as was the cost for the first group of shares you sold.

You referred to a recent member letter which stated that taxes on gains could be avoided by selling only enough of a position to recover initial investment and letting the rest to ride tax free until sold. I am not aware of any tax code that allows this allocation of cost basis on shares purchased at the same time to just the ones you will hold. Assigning date lots is ok, but that is not what the subscriber described. If you could do what the subscriber suggested, then everyone would just sell 99% of their holding and assign all cost to 1% and hold it indefinitely. I would suggest you check out this member's comment with a tax attorney and report any clarification that may be necessary.

In general, I enjoy your service and have recommended it to others.

Hi there,

Just looked your "members' letters" section re: reduce or avoid capital tax from stock gains. The method as suggested in the letter doesn't work!!!

Reason: When you sell half of your holding of a stock with major capital gain (say CMGI), you need to report the capital gain for this portion of the holding because only this portion of the gain is "realized", i.e., became cash. The other portion is still paper-profile and may very well disappear the next day, as CMGI did for the last
week. You cannot say I spent $10,000 to buy 200 shares of XYZ and the stock now worth of $20,000, so when I sell the first $10,000 is recap of my capital and is tax-free. If you report on Schedule D you will surely get an audit!!

Nevertheless, sell half of the stock to recap the initial capital and let the other half to ride through the market is a sound capital management technique and requires the owner having good discipline and cool head. I also use this method all the time for my option tradings. Regretly, it cannot save your tax. I believe sell covered calls would be a possible approach since you only report the proceeds from selling the calls as short-term capital gain but you still hold the stock. Problem is if the stock price raises sharply you lose the opportunity and when your stock get called away you lost the tax benefit too.

Thank you for yesterday's Market Alerts "not to panic" We are brand new to your service but still with other newsletters. Your member consideration with these "alerts" was just enough to reinfoce our gut anxiety and saved us MUCH MORE than our subscription. We got nothing of the sort from others'
Thanks

Dear Sir,

Your comments have been very helpful. Is it possible that you can set up some type of scheduling and have market updates regularly intra-days? For example, every hour or 3 or 4 times a day on regular basis, 1 covering opening, 1 late morning, 1 afternoon and 1 covering the closing. With current volatile situation, your timely assesment of the market are quite valuable and even more valuable than individual stock tips. Your advise yesterday keeping people calm under the pressure of Tech sell off was a perfect example. People should have saved or made a lot of money yesterday and today taking your advise regarding the situation of the current market.

You may even consider charging a premium for such regular services.

Best regards,

You have suggested to the viewers that they should think of the tax implications before selling stock that have run up BIG GAINS, such as AOL, EGRP, CMGI, ETC. I have avoided the tax liability by selling enough stock to cover my initial investment ( principal ) and keep the rest. Example: I bought 500 shares of CMGI about 3 weeks ago at 150 a share. The stock ran up to 300 and I sold off 250 shares. This got my principal back and 250 shares of CMGI free, with no tax liability.
I have done this with AOL, EGRP,CMGI, JBOH and PAID, over the course of the last 6 months. I have found this a very effective way in retaining stock and not paying taxes. Now I have money to purchase stock on a down trend , such as yesterday afternoon. AOL, EGRP, CMGI, YHOO, ETC.

Granted, this can not work for everybody but it's sure a good alternative to paying taxes.

IT WORKS FOR ME

Thu, 18 Mar 1999 11:29:31

Kudos to you guys! FDX and CMGI calls were dead on. What about FDX - sell at the end of today? Any upside left with oil rising? Great work guys, THANKS!

Hey guys, I love your service. Even the monthly press releases that are posted all over the Internet singing your stock-picking glories. God knows I've made money from your recommendations.

You know what would be nice, though? In addition to your self-congratulation, admit it when things don't pan-out as you predict. CLX's possible stock split announcement at their Board meeting comes to mind. The only reason I suggest this is because it would make you seem more human. We all make mistakes, both in life and in investments. You're definitely hot, but I'd respect you more.

Just a thought ...
Russell

You guys are marvelous. Better than CNBC . THe BEST BEST BEST....

Thu, 18 Mar 1999 09:46:21

Thank you. I am finally beginning to wisely choose rumors. I bought some CMGI last week, EXDS yesterday (day trade for a 113 13/16 - 120 3/16 gain), and bought FDX right before the close yesterday at 93 1/8. You folks are very, very good!! I am extremely happy with your service.

Sincerely,
Dave

How can I regret my subscription ? Please do not let it run out ever! I asked about CMGI -which I was about to sell- and you Emailed me promptly very cryptically saying "just hang on to your CMGI shares- I did. I am impressed with your response, not only the accuracy as much as the fact that you responded and responded on time.

Since finding this website three weeks ago, I have closely followed the recommendations. Your information is the best yet. I'm currently in AOL and doing nicely. I was skeptical about your 85% correct statement but have found this to be true. I love the charting that, for me, pulls all the information I've been learning into one package. The cup and handle is new to me and is added information that helps my decisions. I'm very excited and confident about trading in the future. After several years of trying to learn and all the information that is out there, your site brings it all together. Thanks and I'll keep you posted. (By the way, in paper trading I have made thousands!!!) Thanks again,
Tom

Well it looks like Clorox was a dud as far as the rumor is concerned. I sure hope FDX has a better story. I sure need to connect with one of your winners next time. I seem to be picking all of your losers lately.

About 2 months ago I wrote you an email about the speed of your site being EXTREMELY slow. It has improved 100% and is now a regular site I visit (although I rely much more on your email updates). I am a subscriber and very much appreciate your services. Your market comments have helped guide me to make many thousands of dollars over the past few weeks alone - I guess the subscription fee is worth it ;)

Thanks,

JM

I had my first big win with your rumors today .... on CTYA. Novice that I am, I almost bungled and sold it to take the 10% profit! But I am holding on for now to get the ADLAC shares and cash dividend.

Thank you, STOCKWINNERS! You make trading a lot more fun and profitable.

PS. If you post it, please take my email off. Thanks.

This was my 1st week of using your service (and my 1st week of active trading ever). I played a few stocks on my own & was up $500 by midweek and then lost it again by friday. However, I followed your advice on the pick of the week (SCH) buying 45 shares. I set my limit sale at 75 (your suggested target price) and it just hit at the end of trading on Friday. Thanks for the tip and for providing a great service. I'm hooked!

How fortunate I feel to be able to live here in exotic (and warm) Rio de Janeiro yet keep up to the minute with the market in New York thanks to the internet and Stockwinners. You asked for some feedback on the Margin buying addition to your home page. I often have missed out on a buying opportunity because I hadn’t yet transferred funds from my bank in Canada . Because of your info on Margin Buying, I increased my holdings of E-trade by 20% on margin when you sent out your market alert last week. I bought at 40 3/8! Thank you!

Thu, 11 Feb 1999 14:35:01

Guys:

AOL - You were right on - hold the stock - I want to see what happens when it trades 2-1. I should have sold some shares on the news. FHT - I bought on margin, got nerves early in the week, got stopped out at 18, and today they announce - Good call - Bad luck on my part. Dell - Stock of the week, bought on Monday @ 99.75, on a little margin, still hold it, what do you guys think about there announcement on earnings next Tuesday. should I load up or stay with a small margin position or go deeper in debt. Any suggestions Thanks again.

Tue, 9 Feb 1999 21:24:24

Thanks for the rumor! I needed to hear that at the end of a pretty rough day. I had placed a limit order a few weeks ago to buy more CMGI if it went below 96 -- it did, and I logged on to find I owned more CMGI. So it was nice to have this surprize and I hope its true.

Dear Sirs,

All your expectations about YAHOO was wrong %100. I have never burned as I have when i listened to you and I didn't sell before the split..... I suggest that you add this letter to " Letters from members", if you dare.

Sincerely,

Tue, 02 Feb 1999 22:28:13

I am really happy with you guys and have been reccomending you to the more serious long-term investors in the best of the stock chatrooms

Fri, 08 Jan 1999 19:13:48

thanks, have only been a real member of your service for a week and so far the service has been exceptional! took your advise on cmgi and got in @ 125, got out at 189 1/2 per your comments to look at taking profits. great call! the stock has gone somewhat higher and will split soon (post split on tues). i would like to revisit cmgi, but think it might be prudent after the split since it appears most shares decline somewhat after a split on profit taking then take off again.

Fri, 08 Jan 1999 06:10:58

thank you for my first 100 point gain in one week. YHOO, GREAT CALL

keep up the good work.

Wed, 6 Jan 1999 14:02:45

I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THE ORIGINAL CMGI ALERT. I BOUGHT 1500K SHARES AND HAVE MADE ALOT OF MONEY ON THAT STOCK. I AM STILL HOLDING.

Wed, 06 Jan 1999 18:51:46

Thank You for . . .

TER, NOVL, CSCO, DELL and others!!

Keep up the good work!

not everyone benefited from your service. unfortunately i am one of those who suffered. during my trial subscription, i picked up SPYG on your recommendation, and now that hold has been decimated - a near 50% loss in less than two months.

you can be sure neither i or my friends will visit your site ever again.
